NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2004
Another great event hosted by IceSheffield. It was super to see so many
young competitors including a large entry for the pairs competition. Hopefully next year there will be a larger entry in the
Dance section. Congratulations to Rebecca Mayo for her excellent 2nd place in the Ladies Pre-Novice Championships. Also well done to Jessica Mallender who achieved 8th place in the Novice Ladies. Both
skaters are coached by Dawn Peckett at the IceSheffield Skating Academy.
HOLIDAY ON ICE
Two Sheffield Skaters are now touring with Holiday on Ice. Kerrie Brown is touring Europe with the DIAMONDS production
and Beth Wilson is touring Europe, Mexico and Asia with the PINOCCHIO production. Well done to both girls who have long
been an inspiration to the younger skaters at Sheffield with their work ethic and commitment to skating.

The Ice Age comes to Sheffield
A purpose-built ice rink has been built in Sheffield - two olympic sized pads with fitness room, dance studio etc. Ice Sheffield
is situated next to the Sheffield Arena and the Don Valley Athletics Stadium. In the same area, the English Institute of Sport
is also being constructed. The Ice Sheffield Academy offers group and private lessons for both free skating and ice dance on
two pads. Jimmy Young is Master Coach and specialises in ice dance tuition and Dawn Peckett is Senior Figure Coach. If you would be
interested in visiting and using IceSheffield ice, contact Peter Morrissey for details.
